Not only is this shade of blue one of my favorite hues, but Christian Louboutin is one of my most-coveted shoe designers. To boot, this photo is also taken by a much admired wedding photographer, Jerry Yoon. And not only do I covet these shoes in a major way, and love Jerry Yoon’s photos, I also ADORE the colored bridal shoe trend.
To sum things up, this photo embodies too much deliciousness to describe. So, I’ll let the picture do the talking – enjoy!
A few weeks back I came across Badgley Mischka’s lovely Caroline peep toe pump. The beautiful shape and oversized sparkling jewels adorning the shoe make it a great pick for a pretty wedding day pump. Besides, a Badgley Mischka shoe is an investment-quality wardrobe piece that you can pull out of your closet for special events for years to come. The only downside to this pump is its $225 price tag – a bit steep for the bride on a budget.
If you love Badgley Mischka’s ‘Caroline’ style but are looking for a more budget-friendly wedding day shoe, check out RSVP’s ‘Lily.’ I honestly did a double-take when I spotted it on Zappos, thinking it was the original Badgley Mischka. RSVP’s version retails for just $89, and comes in white, silver or champagne satin. Also, I happen to own a pair of RSVP shoes, and let me tell you – they are pretty comfy, even with a 4 inch stiletto.
Of all the wonderfully thought-out little details that comprise a wedding, my absolute favorite is the bride’s shoes. Maybe it’s just my inner Shopaholica speaking, but I love nothing more than a gorgeous, striking pair of heels peeking out when a bride lifts up the hem of her gown.
Christian Louboutin is, of course, a dream-maker when it comes to amazing wedding shoes, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that these beauties are his design. Unlike the feathery, romantic satin Rosazissimo peep toe of 2008, the “Galaxy Pass 100” heels are dazzlingly modern, sleek and architectural. I think they’re just about perfect for the Art Deco bride with a passion for pretty shoes. Imagine them under a sleek, gorgeous dress like the Bora Bora or Bryce by Enzoani – style, perfected.
