We love these individually wrapped shawls. It’s a great way to make sure guests stay warm for those gorgeous outdoor weddings. Weather can be fickle and change on a dime, so why not be ready? Brides can mix and match to incorporate the color palette of the wedding. They can be a wonderful inexpensive way to cater to the guests and keep the color scheme flowing throughout the wedding. Plus the shawls are a cozy favor for guests to keep wearing even after the big day. It is such a cute and lasting piece of the design.

One of our favorite venues to work at in the beautiful wine country is Carneros Inn in Napa, CA. Not only does it provide you with breathtaking views of the Napa Valley, their exquisite selection of wine and food is perfect for those “foodie” couples out there. We love this location! It is wonderful for our wine country brides as well as a great escape for a fabulous destination wedding. The above photos are from a wedding we designed & planned a few years back for Ashley & Scott – it was an intimate destination wedding for this couple, and despite the morning rain, the couple and their guests all had a fabulous time. We are super excited about our upcoming September wedding at The Carneros Inn for local San Francisco couple Rosanna & Andrea – be sure to check back later this year for photos from their fabulous Italian inspired fete.

Luggage tags for wedding favors would be a great idea for a destination wedding! So creative and unique, and definitely something people would use again. Get them made in your wedding colors with a quote on them, a lyric from your first dance song or something memorable about you as a couple and the date of your wedding.

Sometimes people ask me where my favorite place to find inspiration is. My answer? Everywhere. Food, Fashion, Architecture, Travel, Interior Design, Photography, Books…. the list goes on and on. A dress, for instance, can inspire an entire color and texture palette, like the one above. Salmon-pink sequins, the cream paint that is chipping off the wall creating a rustic patina, and the pale gray-blue of the wall peeking through underneath.
It’s a beautiful study in contrast, colors and mix and match textures, and this one photo of a pretty dress can serve as instant inspiration for an entire wedding design. This is what my heart beats faster for. ❤

Here is an idea for a party or wedding that could be hung as garland, used for a photo booth, behind a desert table, or anywhere you see fit. It is easy to make and adds a huge impact!
You will need: Folds of crepe paper, scissors & tape
Step 1: Cut the roll of crepe paper in half.
Step 2: Take the roll of crepe paper, with another persons help, and pull until most of the stretch is gone. Then, fold the paper together.
Step 3: Begin cutting fringe halfway through the fold, leaving some space in the middle.
Step 4: Turn over and begin cutting the other side of the fringe, making sure not to cut all the way through.
Step 5: Using tape, attach one side to the ceiling letting the other side fall to the ground. Twist the bottom to create twists in the crepe paper… and you’re done!

This is a creative and unique idea for a fall wedding, shower, halloween party, or even Thanksgiving decor! Hollow out a large pumpkin and place a similar sized metal bowl, or gallon bucket inside, fill with ice and stick your wine or beer bottles inside. Easy as that, and truly adds a fun touch to the theme that your guests will love! What other creative DIY projects have you done with pumpkins?

This is a great idea if you are having water (or wine!) on the tables. The bottles can double as the table numbers.
